William "Bill" Wiseman, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family while watching his favorite westerns. Born on September 1, 1948, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bill was a man who dedicated his life to both his family and a successful career as an entrepreneur.
Over the years, Bill's ventures included The Grout Medic, becoming a respected real estate broker, and launching Pop's Chicago Dogs and Pop's Tasty Treats. He also ventured into the world of kettle corn and lemonade with a farm market stand. With each endeavor, he not only created businesses but also lasting memories for all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His wisdom was unparalleled; he could answer any question or solve any problem, providing guidance and support to all in his sphere.
Bill was also a man of passions and interests that brought him immense joy. His family fondly remembers his love for shooting pool, and cooking, particularly trying new recipes on the smoker, as he enjoyed grilling delicious meals for loved ones. Fishing was another of his great loves, providing him happiness and serenity as he cast his line from the comfort of his boat.
While Bill achieved great success in his career, none of his accomplishments matched the pride he felt for his family. He was a fierce protector, loving his family deeply and imparting life lessons that will be cherished by his children and grandchildren. Bill's proudest moments came not only from business triumphs but also from family milestones, like his remarkable turkey hunt in 2022, which remains a treasured memory.
He leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly, including his devoted wife, Mary, and their children: Samantha, Bill, Cari, and Mickey. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Hailee, Austin, Layton, Christopher, Emily, Jacob, Jada, Audrey, Tristian, Zachary, Emma, & Julia,, as well as his great-granddaughters, Ella, and Amelia.
Bill is reunited in spirit with his beloved grandson, Carter, and his parents, Paul and Christina. As well as with his siblings, Pat and Richard, and brother-in-law Dick, all of whom held cherished memories in his heart.
Though the world has lost a wise and loving soul, Bill Wiseman's legacy of love, friendship, and protective spirit will forever resonate through the hearts of those he touched. He leaves behind an indelible mark on the lives of many, a testament to a life well-lived.
His family will be hosting a celebration of life June 2026 at the lake he loved. Details will be posted on the family's facebook when the time comes.
