Wendell "Butch" Roger Mann

Sunrise: March 21st, 1948 Sunset: August 31st, 2021 Wendell Roger Mann, better known as "Butch" or as his friend Tim Havlock referred to him for over 25 years as "The Butcher Of Bakersfield" lived a long and wonderful life. He passed away at home Tuesday, August 31st, 2021 after a long battle with COPD, while in the arms of his daughter Shellie, who had been solely taking care of him for the past 18 months. Wendell loved music, it was his passion for his whole life. He was in bands on and off his whole life including "Rogue" and "Drastic Measures" along with others. He had worked at Meijers, did construction, was a chef and other misc. jobs when he was younger, he drove taxi for Yellow Cab back and in the early 90s, ProCo in the mid to late 90's, Flarefittings in the 2000's where he retired from 11 years ago, also he built speaker enclosures, PA equipment and did car audio installations for many years. He was an amazing father, grampy, son, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be truly missed by those who have the privilege to know him. He was proceeded in death by his Mother: Nilah (Prough) Mann, his Father: Wilbur Mann, Sisters: Linda Stratton & Joyce Noland. Brothers: Donald Mann and Dean Mann. He is survived by his children: Karole (David) Grano of NM, David (Liesl) Mann of MI, Melissa (Colin) Price of IL, Shellie Mann of Kalamazoo, MI, his Sisters: Joanne Tiffany and Patricia (Ted) Skartsiaris, 5 Grandsons: Kristopher, Isaak, Alyn, Chase, and Sebastiean. 1 Granddaughter: Christina, Great Grand kids, Owen and Nora; numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be conducted at a later date, March 2022. I will update as the date/time/place are set in stone.
