Walter "Mike" Wheeler

Wheeler, Walter Michael, age 77 of Punta Gorda, FL and Belmont, MI passed away December 23, 2020 in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born February 3, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stuart and Ilah Wheeler and brother, James Charles. Mike is survived by his wife Lois J. Wheeler of over 30 years. His children, Paul (Cindy) Wheeler, Andrew (Deb) Wheeler, Barb (Rick) Goodin, His children’s mother, Diane Wheeler, step-children, James Flynn, Andrew Flynn, Candy (Jim) Fugate, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many great friends, and a special thanks to John and Nan Dykema for all they have done. Mike stopped working for Dykema Excavators after many years of service not because he wanted to, but because of his health. He loved his bulldozing job and the people he worked with. Mike will be missed by many. We will have a celebration of Mike’s life in the Spring of 2021.
