Virginia Davis

It is with deep sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of Virginia “Ginnie” Davis, of Grand Rapids on Wednesday, July 26th, 2023 at the age of 69.

Ginnie’s family was the center of her world.  Her role as “Nana” was most important to her.  She could often be found on the sidelines or in the audience watching what her grandbabies loved to do.

She will be lovingly remembered by her former husband and best friend, James Carlstrom; their children, Marc (Elvia) Carlstrom, Elizabeth Carlstrom, Cali (Michael) Lipscomb; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Isaiah (Julie) Carlstrom, Isabella Grays, Isaac (Ayde Hernandez) Grays, Salome Carlstrom, Ayla Lipscomb, Moises Carlstrom, Macey Lipscomb, Parker Lipscomb, Zachriah Grays, and Micah Carlstrom; sisters Marsha Haring and Elizabeth Rykse and their families.

Ginnie was proceeded in death by her parents Cornelius “Bill” and Doris Harkes.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in her honor with Corewell Hospice.  Ginnie had a tremendous respect for their work and loved her team that consisted of Emma, Roberta,Tim, Phil and Emily.

An small family gathering will take place in August to honor Ginnie’s life.
