Vernon Wyllys

Vernon Richard Wyllys, loving father of two daughters, Corrina Rink and Marcy Ward passed away on September 18, 2021 at the age of 80 surrounded by his loving family. Vernon leaves behind five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and countless others that he adopted as family. Vernon Richard Wyllys was born on January 11, 1941 to Mary Ruth M. Wyllys and Vernon D. Wyllys in Toledo, Ohio. Vernon was married to Virgie D. “Tess” Wyllys. Vernon became a proud member of the United States Army in 1960, served at Fort Campbell and was placed into active duty in France. He was honorably discharged and took his passion to the road as a truck driver. Along the way Vernon changed the lives of so many. A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Thursday September 30, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1625 Capital Ave. NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017. The visitation starts at 4:00pm and service starts at 5:00pm.
