Theodore Witkowski, age 59 of Holland, Michigan passed away peacefully at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids on Sunday, May 15.Ted was born in Alma, Michigan on June 21, 1962 to the late Anne Therese (Moore) and Theodore Witkowski .He attended school in Edmore, Battle Creek, Mancelona and Holland, Michigan, graduating from West Ottawa High School. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Ferris State University in 1984 Ted loved music and attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp during his high school years playing the baritone and string bass. Ted’s love for music continued throughout his life. During his college years he played in the Ferris State concert and marching bands. On graduating from Ferris, he started his career working in the Holland CD Store, D&W grocery, Meijer Thrifty Acres and the student radio station at Hope College working at Mr. Turkey in Holland as a USDA inspector.
Ted is survived by his siblings, Ruth Wyant of Allendale, Elissa Witkowski Simon of Morris, Illinois, Mark Witkowski of Holland, and John Witkowski (Kristen) of Holland, Michigan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Thomas Deja (Jenna), Sean Deja, Rachell Deja Mariage (Dane), Thomas Wyant (Janice), Amy Wyant, Nick Witkowski (Alisha), Luke Witkowski (Erin), Kendra Witkowski-Lehman (Chase), Quentin Witkowski (Melanie), Justin Witkowski (Jessica), Jeremy Witkowski (Lauren), Chad Witkowski (Jenifer), Ryan Simon (Tina) Brett Simon (Fiance Shari), Hannah Brown (Ryan); and his three fur babies Boots, Pretty and Smokey. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
