Theodore Gerald Archer of Holland, MI, passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 63 years after a short courageous battle with lymphoma. Born as the second child of five, Theodore Gerald Archer of Holland, MI, passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 63 years after a short courageous battle with lymphoma. Born as the second child of five, Ted grew up in Midland, MI, with his parents and siblings. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing football, running in the woods behind the house, and riding motorbikes. His love of the outdoors led him to cut and sell wood and raise chickens to collect the eggs. Ted graduated from Spring Arbor College and being concerned about the needs of the less fortunate, he worked for a time at a mission in downtown Chicago and at a boys’ home in Grand Rapids. Ordained by the Free Methodist Church, Ted took missions trips to Mexico and served two years in Asuncion, Paraguay with his previous wife, Denise. Ted also pastored at Ravenna Free Methodist Church in Ravenna, MI as well as in Saranac, MI for a short time. Shortly after Ted became a welder and a general handyman, Ted worked at different places for many people in the Holland area. In his later years, he spent his time working with wood and metals, using his craftsman skills to make beautiful creations for his family. Ted will be remembered by his tireless work ethic, humble nature, passion for what he loved, unwavering faith and strength. He leaves behind beautiful creations and cherished memories that will live on with us.

Ted is survived by his daughters Sydney and Isabella, parents Jerry and Anita Archer, siblings Pam and (Gene) Bazan, Tim and (Shauna) Archer, Christy and (Sean) Banford, and Rob and (Jessica) Archer, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A private ceremony is being held in Holland, MI. A public ceremony will follow at a later date in Midland, MI at Midland Free Methodist Church on July 20th at 2 p.m.
