Ted Alan Vronko

August 12, 1951 — October 16, 2024

Ted Alan Vronko, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away at the age of 73 on October 16, 2024, due to complications from an automobile accident. Born on August 12, 1951, in Grand Rapids, Ted's life was marked by dedication, love and a unique spirit that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Ted proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in Okinawa, Japan, in 1970 as a Refrigeration Mechanic. After his military service, he returned to Grand Rapids and found a career at Steelcase as a Supervisor. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own home repair business, which included maintenance work at Lincoln Pines in Gowen. Later, Ted found a niche at Litehouse, a food manufacturing company in Lowell as a Recipe Formulator, affectionately earning the title of the "Sauce Man" for his special recipe BBQ sauces. He retired in 2014, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. In his retirement, Ted was very proud to represent the Marines and was most often seen wearing his red Marines ball cap and jacket.

Ted's interests were deeply intertwined with love for his car and his dogs. He spent his retirement restoring and modifying his 1988 Honda Prelude. Ted was also very well known for his love of German Shepherds. He had the best of companions and was frequently seen with his German Shepherds by his side. Often times, they would be waiting in the car, quietly guarding until their master returned. Ted's legacy lives on through all of his children and grandchildren who also cherish dogs in their lives. Ted was surely greeted by all his departed dogs waiting for him at the rainbow bridge, including Antrim, Alan, Prince, Zach, Tower and more.

There is a long line of Vronko's who all have a quality for doing things their own way and are known for their unchanging will in doing so. Ted marched to the beat of his own drum, living life on his terms, instilling in his family the importance of individuality and the courage to follow one's own path. His children and grandchildren embody Ted's rebel spirit, each carrying a piece of his resilient will and zest for life.

Ted's sense of humor and joy for life was most evident during his time spent in nature with his children and dogs. His presence brought laughter and happiness to those around him and these moments will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Ted's faith was the cornerstone of his life, and as a faithful Christian, he looked forward to being called home by the Father. His retirement years were filled with peace and gratitude for the blessings he received through Jesus Christ.

Ted is survived by a loving family who will continue to honor and cherish his memory. His daughters, Melinda (Patrick) Wojtowicz and Amanda (Josh) Claypool; his son, Chad Vronko; his grandchildren, Anastasia, Sarnia, Noah, Ethan and Neveah; and his great-grandson Ryker. Ted is also survived by his siblings, Vicki (Larry) Marzean, Terry (Kay) Vronko, Tim (Lynn) Vronko, Anthony Vronko, Tom Vronko and Tracy (Jeff) Anderson. Ted is survived as well by his canine companions, German Shepherd, Storm and Basset Hound, Chazz. Ted is presided in death by his grandmother, Mary Vronko, and his parents, Theodore Frank Vronko, Jr, and Bonnylee (Howard) Simmons. Ted's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family, friends and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

As Ted joins the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in eternal salvation, his memory will be treasured and celebrated by the many lives he touched. His story of service, love and individuality will continue to inspire those who carry on his legacy. Ted Alan Vronko lived a life full of purpose and

passion, and while he will be greatly missed, his spirit will forever remain a guiding light for his family and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Friday, November 15th at 1 pm, located at The Greenville Area Community Center, 900 E Kent Rd, Greenville, Michigan.
