Steven Valk

Steve Valk of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the age of 57.

Steve was born on July 2, 1965, in Grand Rapids, MI to Robert and Dolores Valk. Steve attended Rogers High School in Wyoming, MI, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Davenport University. Steve spent most of his career in the food and candy wholesale business, and he later enjoyed being a stay-at-home dad.

Steve was proceeded in death by his parents Robert and Dolores Valk. He is survived by his sons Christian and Chase Valk, ex-wife Tricia Valk, sister Patricia Rowe, brothers Douglas (Kelly) Valk, Richard (Shirley) Valk, Robert (Lainie) Valk, David (Lisa) Valk, and many nephews and nieces.

Steve had a passion for all sports, but he especially cheered on the University of Michigan’s football and basketball teams. He enjoyed watching baseball and was a lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers. Steve also enjoyed traveling with friends and family.
