Steven Trudell

Steven Elliott Trudell, 53 of Grand Rapids passed away at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods on Monday May 27th, 2024; after a seven year battle to cancer. He was able to slip peacefully away surrounded by his loved ones.

Steven was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 12th, 1970, to Peggy (Sands) and Buzz Trudell. He grew up in Grand Rapids and graduated from Northview High School.

Steven was married on July 8th,1995 to Tina Trudell. Steven and Tina stayed in Grand Rapids where they raised their family. Steven worked several jobs over the years including Brinks, Federal Armored and Pilgrim Manor.

In 2017 Steven was diagnosed with throat cancer went into remission a year later. In 2019 it returned he and battled long and hard but was unable to beat it a second time.

In his spare time, Steven was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his family. He also loved cooking and woodworking.

Steven is survived by Tina Trudell his wife of almost 29 years: his mother Peggy (Sands) Trudell: his sister Shannon Waite: his children, Courtney Willits of Gaylord, Andrew (Karlee) Carrier of Ionia, Darren (Paulina) Trudell of Livonia, and Jacob (Mackayla) Trudell of Grand Rapids; grandchildren Ellee, Karson, Stephion, Mason, Branson, Karter, Kinslee, Greyson, Cecilia, Emma, and Sophie.

He was preceded in death by his father Clarence ‘Buzz” Trudell; his brother Wiliam ‘Bill’ Sands.

A memorial will take place on June 30th at Long Lake Park.
