Steven C Pitsch, Sr

Steven C. Pitsch, Sr., born on October 12, 1957, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on January 26, 2026, in Comstock Park, Michigan. A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and soon-to-be great grandfather, Steven will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Steven shared 47 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Theresa Pitsch, building a life rooted in love, commitment, and family. He is also lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law, Thelma Denhof.

He was a proud and devoted father to his three children: Steve Pitsch, Jr. (Bonnie), Jennifer Rosebery (former son-in-law Ryan Rosebery) and Rose Kimball (Eric); and found his greatest joy in his role as “Papa and Big G” to his eight grandchildren: Michael Pitsch, Hunter Pitsch, Isabelle Pitsch, Aidan Rosebery, Alyssa Rosebery, Aubrey Rosebery, Trinity Kimball, and Madelyn Kimball. Together, they will carry forward his legacy of love.

Beloved brother to Annette Wright, David Pitsch, Diane Bitz, Michael Pitsch, and other family members both living and deceased.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Agnes Pitsch, and his father-in-law, Basil Denhof, whose guidance and influence helped shape the compassionate and dedicated man he became.

Steven lived a life defined by devotion to his family, hard work and unending curiosity about the world. He was happiest when spending time with his family and staying busy--tending to the pool, working in the yard, restoring furniture or multiple hobbies. Whether experimenting with 3D printing, exploring virtual reality, pressing T-shirts, collecting science-fiction novels, or keeping up with the latest scientific discoveries, Steven never stopped learning or creating.

As we remember Steven C. Pitsch, Sr., we celebrate a remarkable man whose love, laughter, and presence will forever remain in the hearts of those he held dear.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date, to be held poolside this summer, where Steven could most often be found, surrounded by family, music, and sunshine.
