Steven Alan Corbit

Steven Alan Corbit, age 69, of Dowagiac, Michigan, passed away on November 13, 2024. He was born on July 1, 1955 in Morrison, Illinois to Jim and Jean (Ireland) Corbit.

Steve graduated from Dowagiac Union High School and Southwestern Michigan College. He went on to pursue a career in process engineering. Outside of work, Steve found enjoyment in golfing, watching Da Bears, and spending time at Dewey Lake.

Steve is survived by his children Alex (Alisa), Katie, and Nick (Sunnie) Corbit and his siblings Terry Corbit, Leslie Kenreich, Michael (Judi) Corbit, Shelley (Mikel) Matthews, and many nieces and nephews including Veronica (Kenreich) Towne.

An open house to honor Steve’s life will be held on Friday, November 29 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Strand Brewery & Kitchen in Sister Lakes Dowagiac, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dowagiac Athletic Boosters Club.
