June 18, 1946 — November 25, 2021

Stanley (Stas) Mieras passed away on November 25, 2021 at the age of 75 years after a tough fight with ALS. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol. His three children, Shane Mieras, Brandon and Emily Mieras, and Nicole and Chris Robinson. Three grandchildren, Allie Robinson, Trevor Mieras and Claire Mieras. Three siblings Jerry and Carol Mieras, Mike Mieras, and Joan and Lee Reynders. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Jane Mieras, his brother Phillip and sister Yolanda Lorenz.

Stas was born in Grand Rapids, MI on June 18, 1946. He attended Catholic and public schools before graduating in 1964. He was drafted into service in the U.S. Army and served honorably. Upon coming back home, he resumed what would turn into his career in the building trades. Stas worked as a mason before becoming a skilled carpenter and tradesman. He was part of the ownership of Western Michigan Ceilings and Partitions, before founding Mid-Michigan Ceilings and Drywall in the early 1990s. Stas loved to fish, particularly for trout, in the many beautiful streams in Michigan. He had a heart of gold, and was thoughtful of others. He would do anything for those he cared about. He will be missed by many.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Aid Society (Little Hall), 823 Michigan St., NE, Grand Rapids, MI with Polish food provided.
