Scott Way

March 13, 1959 — May 12, 2025

Scott Allen Way passed away an after a long battle with cancer with his wife by his side in Three Rivers, MI, on May 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on March 13, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio, Scott's journey through life was marked by unwavering resilience, a heartwarming sense of humor, and a deep love for his family.

Scott honorably served his country through his commitment to the United States Navy, a period in his life that helped shape the principles he lived by. His dedication to duty was paralleled only by his devotion to his family and his work. After his service, Scott had a fulfilling career as a Car Transporter/Hauler and Truck Driver, where he was known for his reliability and the strong bonds he formed with his colleagues.

Those who knew Scott will remember him as a man who took immense pleasure in life's simple joys. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to inject humor into any situation brought light to those around him. Scott was a beloved husband to his wife, Bettie Way, and their 27 year partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect.

As a father to Nicole (Trevor) Newton, Joshua (Amanda) Way, Randy (Kristen) Isbell, Eric Moore, Jamie (Warren) Coles, Tyler Moore, and Amber (Andrew) Schull, Scott instilled in his children the values of integrity, strong with ethic, and the importance of family. He was a guiding star in their lives and took great pride in each of their accomplishments.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Way. He grew up in a loving and caring home with his two brothers, Stu and Shawn Way. His love for sports began as a young child, being encouraged to play hockey by his father.

Scott's legacy continues to live on through his sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was teaching them how to cast a line during fishing trips, telling stories around the campfire, or cheering on their favorite sports teams together. His role as a grandfather was one he embraced with enthusiasm and love.

An avid outdoorsman, Scott found peace and solace in nature. He reveled in the camaraderie of camping with friends and family. His passion for fishing was more than a hobby—it was a time for reflection and connection with the world around him that he passed along to his children and grandchildren.

As we bid farewell to Scott Allen Way, we celebrate a life that was full to the brim with laughter, love, and cherished moments. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. His jokes, his warm embrace, and the twinkle in his eye during a humorous tale will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.In honoring Scott's memory, we reflect on the impact he had on each of our lives. His strength in the face of adversity, his unwavering support for his loved ones, and his ability to find joy in every day will remain as our guiding light.
