Sandra Lou Polk, aged 74, passed away after a long battle with her health. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Delphine Stephenson, her brother Dennis Stephenson, her sister Debra Stephenson, and her Great Grandson Danny May.

Sandra is survived by her daughters, Lisa (May) Cook and Tracy Polk; her son, Michael May; and Stepdaughter Angel Bricker. She also leaves behind her cherished Grandchildren: Mariah DeCloedt, Kayla May, Ashton Barber and Anthony May, and her Great-Grandchildren: Astraeus, Marley May, Lea May, Flora Vergara-May, Kasey-Kay Jones , and William Jones Jr.. She also loved her Fur-Grandbabies very much. Sandra is also survived by her siblings, Linda Graham, Diana Stephenson, Nancy Stephenson, and Eddy Stephenson, along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Sandra had a deep love for the outdoors, country music, and her family. She earned her GED in her 30s and learned to kayak at the age of 72! Despite facing numerous hardships and health challenges, Sandra never lost her spirit. She often joked about her dementia, suggesting the creation of a “dementia dictionary” for the words she made up when she couldn’t remember the right ones. Even after losing a leg, she remained determined and believed she could still do everything.

Sandra’s spunky attitude and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed. She leaves a lasting hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
