Rosaliea Tobin

September 7, 1939 — June 25, 2025

Rosaliea Tobin (née Little), age 85, passed away at Borgess Hospital on June 25, 2025, surrounded by family. Rose was born in Bypro, Kentucky, to parents Adam and Marie (Salisbury) Little. The Littles moved to Michigan in 1954 and Rose graduated from Plainwell High School in 1957. Soon thereafter, Rose embarked upon a great adventure and moved to New York City where she enjoyed a career with Pan-American Airlines. It was there she met Bob Tobin and the couple married in 1965. Together, they enjoyed traveling abroad, socializing, and spending time at the house they built in the Poconos.

Moving back to Michigan in 2016, Rose continued to enjoy the Little-family tradition of playing Rook and is the only one in the family to have been dealt a perfect hand. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Thelma Joe Little and Ruby Joyce Salisbury, husband Bob Tobin, and sister-in-law Marty Little. She is succeeded in death by her brother Claude Lavern Little of Little River, South Carolina (July 17, 2025).  Surviving are her brothers Robert Ray (Toni) Little of Galesburg, Michigan, and Danny Lee Little of Plainwell, Michigan; sister-in-law Joann Dobranski of Glendale, New York, her nephew & birthday twin Joe Little, and several nieces and nephews.

Per Rose’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell, Michigan, at a later date.
