He was born on April 19, 1971, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and lived a life marked by intelligence, love, and a deeply interesting personality that drew people to him. Ron graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1989, carrying with him a spirit of determination and resilience which served him throughout his life. His career as an insulator spanned many years until an unfortunate accident led him to an early retirement. Not one to sit idle, Ron channeled his energy into the joys of his life – his family, his music, and disc golfing. Family was the cornerstone of Ron's world. He was a cherished father to his son, Preston (Morgan) Kline, and daughter, Stephanie (Erickson)(Sean)Meixner. Ron found immense happiness in being a grandfather to three beloved grandchildren, Andrew Kline, Aubrey Meixner, and Roman Meixner, whose adventures and accomplishments brought him immeasurable pride. His loving sister, Barb Erickson, and his nephews, Scott and Jon Erickson, will fondly remember Ron's insightful conversations and his heartwarming laughter. Ron's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He adored spending time with his grandkids, whether it was sharing stories, imparting wisdom, or simply basking in the chaos and energy that only young children can bring. Music was another of Ron's great loves, providing a soundtrack to his life and an outlet for his emotions. The rhythms of his favorite songs were often heard resonating from his home, a sign that Ron was in his element. Furthermore, Ron was an avid disc golfer, relishing the chance to be outdoors and engaging in friendly competition. He found both recreation and camaraderie on the disc golf courses, and his presence on the greens will be deeply missed by those with whom he shared this hobby. Intelligent, loving, and interesting – these words barely scratch the surface of who Ron was as a person. He had a curious mind that delighted in learning and exploring new ideas. His loving nature was evident in the care he provided to his family and friends, and his interesting conversations and unique perspectives were a gift to all who knew him.
As we say goodbye to Ron, we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind.
