Ronald Beatty

Mr. Ronald Beatty, age 78, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Ron served in the Army National Guard for six years, worked in Information Technology for over 50 years (Michigan Bulb Company and a business he started with his son), volunteered at Frederik Meijer Gardens for several years, and passionately enjoyed a life of making music in many bands including The Eschelons and The Others. He also loved reading books, was an avid fan of all things Sci-Fi, a cyclist who traveled thousands of miles in his lifetime, had a great passion for astronomy and was a generous supporter of various charities. He also enjoyed his time with Chiky, a special cat who Lin brought into his life. He touched many lives with his gentle grace and compassion.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Warren Beatty and Gertrude Anderson, wife of 41 years, Judith (Bigorowski), brother Dick, nephew Rob and great niece Gerri. Lovingly remembered by his son, Warren Beatty (Shannon), niece Deb Kellermann (Emil), nephew Mark Beatty (Teri), sweetheart of 11 years, Linda Otherlyn and many friends and band mates.
