Roger Cece

We are sad to announce the passing of Roger Alan Cece of Brevort, Michigan. He was born in Detroit on November 16, 1942, and died on January 17, 2023 at the age of 80. Roger passed away surrounded by his loved ones. Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Marjorie and his brother William Borland, he is survived by his wife Sandra, sister Jana, daughter Christine (Gilbert Liptak), sons Anthony (Johnda) and Terry (Sherry), six grandchildren (Rachel, Bryan, Trevor, Christopher, Jared, and Allison), and four great grandchildren (Emma, Trevor Jr., Vincent, and Lila).

Roger was a police officer in Ferndale for about 12 years in the mid 60’s and early 70’s. He was also a police officer in St. Ignace and Chief of Police on Mackinac Island from about 1975 to 1980. In his retirement years, he operated heavy equipment for Sand Products and the National Forest Service in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
