Robert Stetson

Robert John Stetson Jr. born November 1, 1942 in Detroit Michigan passed away at Home on August 23, 2026.

Robert “Rob" will be remembered as a man who loved the great outdoors and especially his many dogs he owned over his lifetime. He found special joy in an active hands-on life that included fishing, hunting, and forestry. Rob joined the Marines in his high school senior year and served four years with the Corp; attaining the rank of Corporal. He won numerous metals and recognition for expert marksmanship in the Marines. Rob is survived by his wife of 50 years Diana, his daughter‘s Kelly and Carla and granddaughter Alana, a stepdaughter, Deborah (Michael), stepson, Rich, a sister Beverly and many grandchildren including Matthew, Shelby, Justine, Jessica, and Riley. Rob was proceeded in death by his father, Robert J. Stetson Sr., his mother, Gertrude Mavis, his brother Michael and his step-grandson Jon.

Rob will be remembered with love by his entire family and those who knew him. A small memorial ceremony with honor guard salute will be held at the Charlotte VFW on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 2 PM followed by a late lunch. (Charlotte VFW, 695 Lansing Road, Charlotte, MI 48813).
