It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Robert Jack “Bob” Smith, who died at home on June 23, 2026, at the age of 84.
Bob was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished grandfather, and a proud great-grandfather. His greatest joy was his family, friends, and loved ones. He spent his years sharing his wisdom and offering unconditional love to all who knew him; he was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He was the beloved husband of Debra Lynn Smith for nearly 42 years, having been together for 48 years. Together, they built a life centered on love, values, and family. He was a loving father to Robert (Theresa) Smith, April Walker, Christina (Roberto) De Leon, Al Johnson, Debra Myers, and a treasured grandfather and great-grandfather to many wonderful grandchildren. His legacy will live on through the generations he loved so deeply.
Bob was known for his unwavering wisdom, sense of humor, kindness, generosity, selflessness, and strong work ethic. Whether he was tending to his yard, gardening, hunting, fishing, or telling stories, he always made those around him feel welcome and loved.
He will be remembered for his gentle heart, unwavering strength, and the example he set through a life well-lived. Though he will be deeply missed, the love and memories he leaves behind will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Deb, his children Robert (Theresa) Smith, April Walker, and Christina (Roberto) De Leon, Al Johnson, Debra Myers; many siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many other family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life is in the works, and a date will be provided at a later time.
