Robert D. Parrott, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, left this world on July 19, 2025, after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family in Holland, MI, as he took his journey to his eternal home. Born on June 23, 1954, in Lapeer, MI, Rob lived a life filled with devotion, love, and a zest for the joys of living.
Rob enjoyed a fulfilling career, contributing his talents at SeaRay Boats and S2 Yachts, before realizing his dream of owning and operating Mobile Auto Restoration Services until his retirement. Throughout his professional life, he was known not just for his skills but for his unwavering commitment and work ethic, traits that mirrored his devotion to his family and faith.
A faithful servant to the Lord, Rob possessed a loyal spirit that endeared him to all who knew him. His loved ones often spoke of his unwavering faith. Not only did he demonstrate loyalty, but he also brought joy to those around him with his wry and unpredictable sense of humor.
Rob had an undeniable passion for life. He loved nothing more than spending quality time with his beloved family and friends, imcluding his Lutheran "Happy Hour"group and his very special golf league. Whether it was playing golf, exploring new places, or experimenting in the kitchen, Rob approached every endeavor with enthusiasm and warmth. He shared many treasured moments with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
He is survived by his devoted wife Lynda, whose partnership was one filled with love and mutual respect. Their bond was strong, and they faced life's challenges together. Rob is also survived by his son Matthew Parrott and his wife Nicole, his daughter Haley Cawley and her husband Kevin, as well as his daughter Hillarie Kinne and her husband Gabriel.His grandchildren, Paige Parrott, Piper Parrott, Maycie Cawley, Tobin Cawley, and Franklin Kinne, were the apples of his eye, and he took great joy in their accomplishments and presence.
Rob's legacy continues through his loving siblings, including his brother Charles Parrott, and sisters Frances Bates and Janice Knight, whose support and affection were deeply valued throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elsa Parrott, and his brothers, Lawrence, Maurice, and William Parrott. He also mourned the loss of his sister Vera Frost, along with his sisters-in-law Joyce, Ruth, and Fran Parrott.
As we remember Robert D. Parrott, we celebrate his life—a life marked by love, faith, and an indomitable spirit that touched those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
