Robert Miller

Robert Lee Miller, 87, of Mulliken, Michigan, and formerly Holt,

Michigan, passed away on March 3, 2024 at home.

Bob was born December 29, 1936 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan to Harry

C. and Mary K. Miller. At the age of 17, Bob joined the Marines and

proudly served from 1954 - 1957. He reached the rank of Corporal and

was stationed at 29 Palms, California. He was a Sharpshooter and Anti

Aircraft Automatic Weapons Batteryman.

He hired in at the Board of Water and Light in 1969 as a Laborer and

retired 25 years later in 1994 as a Mechanic. Never one to be idle, Bob

filled his post-retirement days with family, friends and various DIY

projects. He is survived by his daughted Sheryl Miller of Lansing,

Michigan. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Marlene

(Bowman) Miller; sister, Betty Fry; and parents Harry and Mary Miller.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers,

donations can be made to the Semper Fi & America's Fund, supporting

critically wounded service members and veterans for all branches of the

US Armed Forces.
