Robert Mieras

Robert (Bob) Mieras, 78, of Wyoming, Michigan, passed away on 21 February 2022. He was born to parents, John and Gladys, on 01/26/1944 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, watching sports and murder mystery shows, crossword puzzles, and spending time with his family. He was a hard and dedicated worker for all the businesses he worked for.

Bob was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the army for four years. He was the Quartermaster at the Wayland VFW for two years, and played on their state pool team, as well as the Commander of Amvets Post 23 in Wyoming, Michigan.

Bob was a loving and caring brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. He was always willing to give advice to his family, even when they didn't want it at times.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, John and Gladys. He leaves behind his girls: Sherri Mieras, Jodie Mieras, Robin Brooks, and Brandi (Taj) Frye, as well as his seven grandchildren: Jonathan Bird, Shaunna Bird, Dylan Hanes, Brandon Luft, Austin Luft, Mikayla Brooks, and Paige Brooks, and fourteen great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his older siblings: Jack Mieras and Carol (Jim) Simpson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Bob and July 23rd, 2022, at Amvets Post 23, located at 98 52nd St SE, Kentwood, MI 49548. The time for the celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
