Robert (Bob) Dean, a proud U.S. Navy veteran and beloved father, partner, grand father and great grand father and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He was a man of quiet strength, known for his loyalty, kindness, and deep love for his family - and his dogs.

Bob served his country honorably as a Seabee in the United States Navy, where he learned the value of hard work, resilience, and service to others. His time in the Navy shaped his character and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted children, Valerie and Bryan Idema and their children Briana and Tyler and Michael and Jackalynn Dean and their children Jacob and Noah whom he cherished beyond words. He also leaves behind his long-time loving and devoted partner, Joan Rowe, and her children Robert and Lori Rowe, Jason and Stephanie Rowe their children Joshua, Makenna, Katelyn, Kyrie and Austin, Andrew Rowe and his children Evan, Gavin, and Avery and Jeffery Rowe and his daughter Payton with whom he shared many joyful years.

Those who knew Bob will remember his sharp wit, his sarcastic humor, his generous heart, and deep affection for animals and his love for the outdoors and hunting. Whether telling stories from his service days or simply enjoying time with family, Robert lived with quiet dignity and a steady warmth that made everyone feel at home.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

In honoring Bob's memory, his family encourages acts of kindness and support for local veterans.
