Ricky Werkema

Newaygo, MI ~ Ricky Werkema, age 71, passed away Wednesday December 21, 2022. He was born May 13, 1951, in Grand Rapids, MI, a son of Donald Werkema and Shirley Taylor Werkema. Ricky was a Fire Fighter and First Responder; in that position he had touched a lot of people in their worst hours. He loved camping and helping others.

He is survived by his wife Lynda, Brothers; Donald, (Linda) Tim and John (Cheryl) Werkema, Sisters; Jammie Brock and Lynda Deulen. Children; Tina Werkema, Mike Werkema, Mary (Henry) Drent, Susan (Brian) Johnson, Ricky (Hillary) Werkema. 19 Grand Children, and 3 Great Grandchildren.

Mr. Werkema was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Larry Werkema.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Werkema will be 11 a.m., Saturday January 7, 2023, at Holton United Methodist Church located at 9530 Holton Duck Lake Rd, Holton, MI 49425
