Obituary

Richard “Dick” Lintemuth, born on April 11, 1948, in Big Rapids, Michigan, peacefully passed away at his home in Vestaburg, Michigan, on May 10, 2026. Surrounded by the love of his wife, Janet, his beloved children, and grandchildren, he fell asleep in death, leaving behind a cherished legacy rooted in faith, family, and devotion.

A graduate of Mecosta-Remus High School in 1966, Dick furthered his education at Lansing Community College before embarking on a dedicated career with General Motors. For over 30 years, he applied his skilled craftsmanship as a Millwright, demonstrating the same commitment and integrity that would define his life. Yet, beyond his professional achievements, Dick found true joy in his role as a minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses, faithfully sharing the good news of God’s Kingdom and teaching Bible truths.

Dick was a man who took immense pride in his family. He treasured the countless moments spent together—whether it was at the beaches and attractions of Florida, the yearly trips to Cedar Point, or their annual attendance at Christian Conventions. The family’s shared enthusiasm for car races, including NASCAR, created many joyous memories, each moment a testament to Dick’s deep love and dedication as a father and grandfather. His children and grandchildren were his pride, and he beamed with happiness knowing they embraced the values of the Bible in their own lives.

In addition to his devotion to his loved ones, Dick was known for his faithful service in maintaining the Kingdom Hall grounds. Many who knew him appreciated the care and labor he devoted to this important task.

Dick is lovingly survived by his wife, Janet; his children Wendalyne (Todd) Greene, Retha (Kevin) Jackson, Thomas and Vicki Lintemuth, and Ronda (Shawn) Simpson. His memory continues in his fourteen grandchildren—Wesley, Lynsey, Caleb, Jacob, Zach, Gabe, Casey, Corey, Nick, Candice, Delanie, Maisy, Kennedy, and Dylan—as well as his great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Margaret Lintemuth; his brother Jerry; and one deeply beloved son, David Alan, whose memory he carried with quiet pride and tender sorrow.

Richard “Dick” Lintemuth was committed to his family, his faith, and his friends. His presence and loving heart left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege to know him, The memories of his kindness, steadfastness, and joy will be cherished by his family and friends through days to come.
