Richard W. Brewer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on December 4, 1942, in West Virginia, Richard was a true outdoorsman whose passions for fishing, hunting, and nurturing plants and animals were woven into the fabric of his life. His love for nature was profound and enduring, providing him with peace and joy throughout his years.
Richard shared a remarkable bond with his wife of 63 years, Lucille. Together, they nurtured not only their love but also a family that includes their sons Richard Jr. (Brenda), Steven, and John (Kim). He cherished his role as a father and took great pride in the extended family that came with it, including many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Richard's legacy is enriched by the warmth and guidance he received from his parents, Rev. Richard and Aritta Brewer, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by beloved siblings: Bill, Connie, and Patty, as well as his mother-in-law, Emma Stocks, his granddaughter Mallory, and daughter-in-law, Lisa.
Richard's life was a testament to the beauty that surrounds us in nature and the relationships we cultivate with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him and will be remembered for his gentle spirit, love for the outdoors, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Per his wishes, there will be no funeral. Please just keep him in your heart and prayers. The family will schedule a Gathering in the future
