Randy Edward Ely

Randy Edward Ely, a kind, generous, and adventurous soul, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 4, 1954, in White Cloud, MI to the late Marvel and Robert Ely.

Randy's journey through life was one of enjoying the outdoors by tending to his garden in his bare feet,feeding the wildlife on his porch and anything involving his family. With his wife of 48 years, Julie, by his side, he traveled across the United States, hauling trailers and sharing countless adventures. He spent his life as a lumberjack and loving father.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Douglas Ely and Duane Ely. He is survived by his devoted wife Julie; his three sons, John and his wife Jessie, Keith and his wife Nikki, and Jon Polen and his wife Ashley, whom Randy also saw as a son. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Avery, Shyanne, Kylie, Autumn, and Parker Ely, as well as Beric and Declan Polen, who will carry forward the lessons of love and laughter he so freely gave.

Randy Edward Ely's life was a testament to the beauty of embracing the journey, the joy of the wilderness, and the richness of family bonds. He will be deeply missed, but his light will continue to shine in the lives of those he loved.
