Ralph "Chuck" Renney

June 10, 1967 — September 19, 2023

Ralph “Chuck” Charles Renney (56) passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, with his wife and only true partner in crime, Trudy, by his side.

Born June 10, 1967, to Ralph and Patricia Renney, Chuck spent his youth and pre partner in crime years, in and around Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 2003, unknown to Chuck, the most amazing partnership was formed when he met Trudy. The power couple married in 2004 and began their amazing journey together. In 2005, they were blessed with a beautiful boy, Noah Corydon. Also unknown to Chuck, this would begin his transformation into the amazingly strong warrior that now watches over us all.

As most know, Chuck began his battle with his health in 2011, becoming more difficult in 2019, followed by the beginning of dialysis in 2020 and a bone marrow transplant in 2021. Thus, further developing into the warrior. During this time, Chuck continued to be an amazing father to Noah, and husband to Trudy. As well as a great friend to many with his quick wit, great sense of humor, and an even greater pride in being the father and husband he had become. His family was his everything and he continued to show that each day regardless of health obstacles he faced. Chuck developed into an amazing man, strong father, and even greater husband. He had become a warrior, through and through.

Chuck will be deeply missed by his PIC (partner in crime) and wife, Trudy; his son Noah; “2nd son”, Taylor; his parents Ralph and Patricia Renney; Mother in law, Doris Rollins (and a large support team of in-laws); sister Julia (Rick) Parker; sister Cindy (Torrey) Feutz; sister Kimmie Renney (Bryan Loveless); sister Linda (John) Brown; brother Mark Renney; sister Tina (Gabe) Melinn; several nieces and nephews.

In true Chuck fashion, there are no services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstance. A celebration of life will occur on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Brewer Park in Byron Center at 1:00pm.

We close our eyes and picture Chuck, in the largest backyard above us, with the most beautiful weeping cherry tree, a never-ending blue sky with the radiant sun shining ever so perfectly, while tending his garden, and maybe, just maybe, grilling up some of his fantastic burgers always raved about, talking to his nephew Carl, telling him that he is under direct order, by his PIC, to wait for her there, and without question, behave.
