Paul Elton Hoffer

On Monday February 22, 2021, Paul passed away from this life into the next, to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born in Grand Rapids on November 3, 1963 to the late Helen “Ruth” and Lyle Hoffer. He grew up working on the family farm in Allendale, selling produce at the various farmer’s markets including those in Holland and Muskegon. Paul attended Allendale Public Schools and completed an Associate's degree at Davenport University in Grand Rapids. He was involved in growing hanging flower baskets and other flowers in the family's greenhouse as a child and teenager and later took over the family business, continuing to sell produce and flowers at local markets. Paul had a love for growing plants and spending time with people. He worked for many years at Kentwood Office Furniture in Grand Rapids. He enjoyed hunting with his friends in Northern Michigan. Paul is survived by his brother David (Susan) Hoffer and his nephews, Joshua, Jacob, Isaiah and niece Sarah along with aunts, uncles and many cousins and friends. He was a very generous soul to all that knew him and will be missed greatly by many friends and his family. A Memorial Service will be held at Georgetown Bible Church on March 8, 2021 at 1:30pm. Memorials may be made to Faith Hospice or Georgetown Bible Church.
