It is with great sadness to announce that Norman “Normie” Allen Runyan Jr. of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully on December 24. 2024. Normie was born on December 26, 1969, to Norman Sr. & Sylvia Runyan in Grand Rapids, MI. Preceded in death by both his parents Norman Sr. & Sylvia Runyan and brother Martin Jackiewicz. Survived by his brother Stephen Jackiewicz, sister Paula (Ed) Bieber & sister-in-law Nancy Jackiewicz. Along with nieces Amy Vega, Jessica Braun, and nephews Paul Jackiewicz & David Jackiewicz. Great nephews Jesse Boyd, Matthew & Joseph Braun. Including aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends. He shared a special bond with his cousin Kristina Ignasiak-Berens. Normie’s love of music, nature, animals, collections of knives and cooking was always part of who he was. He was known to many as the squirrel & bird whisper and loved to feed andc onnect with them. With his profound sense of humor and gift to gab, he was able to connect with people from all levels of society. He was forever a kid at heart and always up for an adventure. There will be a memorial at a later date, updates will be posted.
