Michael Gregory Pomranky

After a valiant battle with a prolonged illness, Michael Gregory Pomranky has unexpectedly gone to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday morning 3/15/26

He was born in Midland, Michigan and lived on the family farm in his early years. His sister Michelle remembers riding the cows and swinging like Tarzan in the high ceiling barn. All the kids spent many hours hoeing long rows of sweet corn and helping Gramma Pomranky with her chickens.

Having become a believer at an early age he dedicated his life to working hard and serving others, always dependable, honest and very kind. He loved gardening and served many years on the Father's Garden Team at Ada Bible Church providing produce for several area ministries while maintaining his own large garden and sharing its bounty with coworkers and friends. He and Carol Lynn were members at Ada Bible Church for more than 25 years.

Greg attended Emmaus Bible School in 1971-72, located in Oak Park, IL at the time. There he earned a certificate.

He loved trains, antique cars and the outdoors. He loved telling a story about coming upon a mother moose and her calf while walking with the camp dog at Northstar Bible Camp in Alaska where he worked many years ago.

He had an HVAC degree and was employed as a maintenance worker at Cambridge Square Apartment complex for 19 years. Most recently he worked in a warehouse for Family Christian Stores until they closed and then continued employment as a trainer at Notions Marketing; his supervisor at FCS and others at Ada Bible Church and Notions Marketing were instrumental in securing Greg’s continued employment.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents George and Mary Pomranky. He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Carol Lynn (and her service dog Shiloh), his brother Vance (Kathy), sister Michelle (Ray) Snoek, brother Kevin Pomranky, brother Kim (Lisa) Pomranky, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
