Mary Louise Stidham, 81, began her adventure on May 9th, 1943, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She lived a long life full of travels, experiences and the pursuit of her own happiness. This included fond memories with her family, friends and her beloved ducks while residing in Cedar Springs, Michigan. Mary’s strength and feisty independence, coupled with her sense of humor and appreciation for the simple pleasures in life, kept her young at heart. Despite her need for placement in an AFC home in Greenville, Michigan, in her last two years, her spirit and spunk kept her seeking adventures, just on a smaller scale.
Mary made her transition into whatever adventure awaits her on the other side on February 17th, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Keena and Ethel Lake and her brothers Larry Cope, Virgil Cope and Lloyd Cope.
Her spirit now watches over her brother Gerald Lake and his wife Lily of Fenwick, Michigan; her daughter Ginny First and her husband Joe of Swanton, Ohio; her son Tony Stidham of Berwyn, Illinois; her son Cash Stidham of Muskegon, Michigan; her two grandchildren and one great grandchild; her cousin John Campbell; her dear friend of many years, Kathy Buskirk; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life event will be held in the spring.
