Martin Frances Arquette

Martin "Pops" Frances Arquette (1942-2025)

Martin Frances Arquette, 83, of Canadian Lakes, Michigan died at the Michigan Grand Rapids Veterans Home on October 26th, 2025. He was surrounded by his loved ones and the staff who cared for him until the end. 

Martin was born in Wayne, Michigan where he spent most of his childhood years. When he was just 17, he entered in the US Navy serving from 1959-1968 during the Vietnam conflict. After leaving the US Navy, he started working for General Motors in Detroit where he spent the next 32 years before retiring in June of 2000. 

During his time at General Motors, he met his wife of 49 years, Barbara. They went on to live in Westland and Highland, Michigan, a move to Texas and then back to Michigan to be near family. 

Martin was preceded in death by his mother and father Francis and Maureen (Watters) Arquette, brothers and sisters, and friends. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his daughters Holly (husband Jeff), Veronica (husband Jarrod), and Jacqueline. His grandchildren Scott (wife America) and Maxwell, and his brother Bobby.  

We all miss him very much and we all know you do as well. Next year in 2026 we will have a graveside ceremony but until then, to keep his memory alive and strong, listen to Elvis, buy food for an animal rescue, watch a Red Wings game, or sit down and watch an old western, he loved all of those things very much.
