Marlene Nelson

Marlene Kay Nelson, age 82, passed peacefully  on November 4th, 2024,  under the care of Corewell Health (Spectrum)  with her family at her side.

Surviving Marlene is her husband of 55 years, Francis Nelson of Ionia ; two daughters, Helena Haling of Ionia, and Laura Nelson of Sheridan.   Also surviving Marlene is her  grandchildren; Laura Haling of Stanton, William (Krista) Haling of Ionia,  Colton Haling of Ionia, Frank Nelson of Belding,  Brandon (April) Nelson of Greenville, Trisha (Eric) Cooper of Six Lakes,  Great grandchildren Tyressa, Brantlee , Joesph, Izaha , Noah, Madalynn, Leah ,Lilly , Shadd,  Christopher, Shaylynn,  and Shianne, Billy, Kenny, Maverick.   Also surviving are her siblings Velma Peterson of Belding,  Johnny (Mary) Leiter of Orleans,  Stanley (Linda) Leiter of Muir, James (shade tree) Nelson.

Proceeding Marlene in death are her parents Russell and Frances Leiter, and  Frank and Elsie Nelson; Siblings Shirley Leiter and William Leiter , a grandchild who was lost during pregnancy in 1988, and great grandchildren Frank Nelson jr. and Baby Cooper.

The family is planning a celebration of life and will notify when that is finalized.
