Mark Shippy

Shippy, Mark Bryan 5/25/1960 – 10/21/2020 Mark Bryan Shippy lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Mark was a graduate of Ottawa Hills and spent several semesters at Ferris State University studying engineering mechanics. Mark traveled to many states working before finding his niche at Prince Corporation due to a family friend’s recommendation. Prince advanced his education in automotive interiors which he pursued, and resulted in designing fire trucks and an electric bus. He continued on this path until his retirement from V.T. Hackney. Mark loved the family cottage on Green Lake, games of chance, the horse track with his grandfather, traveling with Betsy and friends and anything that went fast. He also adored his dog Max. He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Betsy), father Ronald and sister Suzanne (Allen) uncles Tom and Lee, Aunts Lynda (Doug) and Karen Kalish, various cousins, nieces and nephews, and a very special sister-in-law, Ellen Dunkle, who has provided amazing love, help and support. Mark was preceded in death by our beloved mother Yvonnne, late wife of Ronald. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
