Marjorie Kay Stevenson, beloved mother, companion, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on November 10, 1946, Marge was raised on a farm where she developed a strong work ethic and a love for the simple joys in life.
Marge graduated from Lakeview High School and further pursued her education at Ferris State College for a year. She dedicated over 40 years of her professional life as a legal secretary at Miller Johnson Snell and Cummiskey, where her diligence and commitment to excellence were well recognized.
Throughout her life, Marge was known for her warm personality and her passion for creating cherished memories with her family and friends. She took pleasure in reading, spending time at the beach, and listening to music. The Christmas season held a special place in her heart; she loved baking cookies and inviting family and friends to join in the festive fun of decorating the delicious treats.
Marge found joy in attending her grandson Jake Parent's sporting events, always cheering him on with pride. She also nurtured a love for gardening, which brought her great satisfaction as she cultivated beauty in her surroundings. Her summer adventures included trips to Traverse City and memorable vacations to Hawaii with her long-time companion, Abraham Maioho. She cherished moments spent visiting friends across the state and beyond.
Her family and her home were the cornerstones of her life and undoubtedly her proudest accomplishments. Marge is survived by her children, Brett Stevenson, married to Judy, and Kristen Parent, married to John, along with her beloved grandson, Jake Parent.
Marge is preceded in death by her parents, Holgar and Ruth Jeppesen, and her brothers, Leroy (Pete) and James Jeppesen. She also held dear memories of her Aunt Annie Jeppesen.
Marjorie Kay Stevenson will be remembered for her generosity, her warmth, and her unwavering love for those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and the indelible mark of a life well lived.
