Marjorie Jane Cline (née Glass), born September 12, 1936, in Plainwell, Michigan, passed away on July 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by humor, devotion, and the warmth she brought to the lives of those around her.

Marjorie’s life began in the vibrant heart of Michigan, shaped early on by the loving presence of her parents, Agnes and Ralph Glass, and her siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Cline, her parents, brother George Glass, and sister Nancy Glass. Through the enduring memories of their shared years together, their influences lived on in Marjorie’s gentle spirit and her deep commitment to family.

Devotion was the cornerstone of Marjorie’s life. Together with Gerald—fondly known as Jerry—she built a home filled with laughter and care. One of their proudest accomplishments was raising four adopted children: Shelly Cline, Daniel Cline, Amy Cline Reyes, and Thomas Cline, each of whom survives her. Marjorie’s home was also brightened by her enduring bond with her brother Larry Glass, who joins her surviving family in cherishing her memory.

Marjorie’s working life reflected her unique spirit and zest for engaging with others. She found fulfillment as a mystery shopper for Meijer grocery stores, a role that suited her keen observation skills and her natural affinity for connecting with people.

Summers were especially treasured at the cottage she and Jerry built together on an island in Ontario, Canada—a beloved retreat that welcomed family and friends for memorable gatherings and days filled with fishing and simple companionship. In her later years, Marjorie delighted in tending her garden and engaging in spirited games of Canasta with her card groups, always cultivating joy and camaraderie in every setting.

Marjorie Jane Cline’s life will be remembered for her unwavering love, her dedication to her family, her lively sense of humor, and the many moments of happiness she created in the company of others. Her memory endures in the hearts of her children, her brother, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
