Maria Diavira Munguia Garcia

Maria Diavira Munguia Garcia, 65 of Grand Rapids Michigan, passed away on May 29, 2025, after a lengthy battle with illnesses, her husband Jesus was by her side.

Maria was born to Calistro and Antonia Munguia on May 9, 1960, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She grew up in Lake Odessa, MI

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Emanuel, her niece Hope and nephew Bobby.

Maria is survived by her husband, Jesus and her children Bradley VanDeventer, Miguel Preciado II and Felicia Preciado.

Also surviving Maria are her sisters San Juana (Dave) Fisher, of Traverse City, MI, Norma (Alfredo) Arechiga of Grand Rapids, MI and brother Calisto (Danielle) Munguia, of Grand Ledge, MI. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Maria held many jobs in her life but none more rewarding than her time at the State of Michigan where she developed lasting friendships with her coworkers.

At her request, cremation is taking place and a service will be held in the near future.
