Malachi Fulwiler

Mal took his last breath on this earth on February 2, 2020. He will forever be remembered as a Best Friend to all, who was funny, loving, caring, crazy, Out-there, and sometimes just plain Goofy. Mal was well known in the community. He loved to spend summers in Arcadia, boating and fishing on the big lake or just spending time in the backyard pool. Adulthood arrived and brought Musical Mal! He loved performing with his bands, Pennys Ruined and Skin Jacket. Being on-stage was one of his favorite places to be. Mal was employed by the Iron Well. The love of his life was Rachel, as the world revolved around her and she was his everything right until the end. Mal had a soft spot in his heart for his dog, Charlie; his African Gray, Gilbert and his black cat. Mal is survived by his fiancé, Rachel Groters; sisters, Marcy (Andy) DeVries, Cheryl Fulwiler, Annette (AJ) Snyder, and Kristina Fulwiler. Also surviving are his step-father, John Souter; step brother, Mike Souter; step-sisters, Loralee Souter and Stormie Souter, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his friends, followers and family. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to assist in covering funeral costs and expenses. A Memorial will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 1 pm at New Community Church, 2340 Dean Lake Rd, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. A luncheon will be held at Malachi’s work at 3 pm, at the Iron Well, 741 Leonard St. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504 .
