Lynda Huff

Lynda L. Huff (Oct.8, 1940) passed away peacefully in her home on Nov. 24, 2023. She was

preceded in death by her beloved ‘Chuck’, her parents, Lynn P. and Alberta Huff ne

Quackenbush, her siblings Norma Manship, Earl Huff, Kay Hennon, Mariel Carlson, Albert,

Alvin, and Carole Davis; nephews, David Carlson and Tim Ridout; niece, Robyn Atchison, and

grand-nephew, Ian Maitland.

Lynda is survived by many nieces and nephews, of note: Mariel (Mark) Maitland, Kelli (Joe)

Barnett, Deana (Mark) Bergquist, and Lynne (Phil) Lane, as well as many grands. Lynda was

THE Matriarch who directed until the end with love. She was the keeper of the family

connections and those connections always included food, love, laughter, and food! ������

Lynda had been a savvy prominent business woman in the Grand Rapids Community before

retiring and eventually taking on the role of child-care giver where she guided with love and

loved with her whole heart. She was able to watch her special kids (they know who they are)

grow and become amazing adults, many passing on her legacy of love to the next generation.

Throughout her life, Lynda enjoyed planting flowers and having plants in and around her home,

she had the proverbial ‘green thumb’. She shared her joy of flowers and planting with everyone.

Lynda will be missed by so many whose lives she positively affected.

There are no plans for a service, this was her wish. If you wish, you may make a donation to

Kent County’s Area on Aging, Corewell Health Hospice Services or plant some flowers in her

memory.
