Obituary

“Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.” Mother Teresa

Lisa Marie Archer of Holland, MI, passed away on May 5, 2026 at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids. She is survived by her son Cody Wahl (Danielle) of Seattle, WA, and her daughter Courtney Wahl (Daniel) of Maggie Valley, NC, as well as grandson Asher Wahl and granddaughter Alice Wahl of Seattle.

Lisa grew up in St. Joseph, MI. In 1976, she graduated from St. Joseph High School where she was a talented art student, cheerleader and member of the tennis team. One of the greatest joys of Lisa’s life was being lucky enough to be a stay-at-home mom. A talented home decorator, jewelry maker, photographer, and potter, Lisa worked in interior landscaping as well as at several art galleries throughout West and Southwestern Michigan. She loved gardening, reading, volunteering, and going to Lake Michigan. No squirrel or bird near her home ever went hungry. She will be remembered for her green thumb, quick wit, and beautiful heart.

Lisa will be greatly missed by her two sisters Beth (Mark) Baggett and Lori "Brat" Archer-Smith, nephews Jason (Brandi) and Eric (Vickey) Barnes, niece Zoe Lundquist and several great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Louis Archer and her mother Marian Archer of St. Joseph, as well as many beloved pets, including her Siamese cats, Scout and Poofie. The family wishes to give a special thanks to her dear friend Lisa Lindemulder.

At Lisa’s request, there will be no formal funeral. Instead, the family plans to take a trip out west to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please put a bird feeder in your backyard in Lisa’s honor.
