A much-loved sister, aunt, daughter and friend, Linda Shannon, age 69, passed away on February 23, 2020. She was born in Moberly, MO on December 18, 1950 and spent a number of years living in Clinton, MO, eventually becoming a longtime resident of Independence, MO. She spent the last four and a half months of her life spending time with family in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Linda spent much of her work years as a Patient Accounts Specialist for St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She very much loved and valued her family. Linda took a sincere interest in others, enjoyed reading, had a passion for quilting and crocheting and had a soft spot for “kitties”. Linda is survived by brothers; Robert (Colleen) Shannon of Springfield, MO, George Shannon and John (Connie) Shannon of Warsaw, MO, and sisters; Lela (Jim) Colligan of Grand Rapids, MI and Delores Parks of Clinton, MO, and many beloved nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Linda is preceded by her parents Zillman and Anna Mae (Stutes) Shannon and brother, James Shannon. Her smile, wit, love and care for others will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Honoring her wishes, no services will be held and she has been cremated. Memorial donations can be made to the American Kidney Fund.
