Linda Kay Briseno, age 75 of Lake Odessa, MI., passed away on July 8, 2026. She had a long battle with cancer and is now home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus. She was born June 24, 1951 to Rodney and Lorene Adgate of Ionia Mi.
She graduated from Saranac High School in 1969 and married Arthur (Butch) Briseno, the love of her life in 1971. They had two children (Lance and Jessica). Some of her fondest memories were when they ventured to New Mexico, Colorado and Texas, before returning back home to Lake Odessa. Linda’s most rewarding job was being a homemaker. She loved being a Wife and Mother. Besides her deep love for her family, she blessed them with her many talents including cooking, canning, sewing and gardening. Flowers were her specialty and she was known to have some of the most beautiful flower beds around! She was fascinated with nature and had a love for all creatures, big and small.
Linda also loved to study and learn. In the 1990’s, she went on the receive a Bachelor's Degree from Aquinas College and later became a Real Estate agent, which was one of her favorite jobs!
She loved the Lord with all of her heart and spent most of her life serving others. She listened without judgement and you could always count on her to pray for you when asked. She took in strangers and cared for those in need. In her early years, she was involved in youth ministry and would often pick kids up so they could come to church. In her later years, she loved leading an adult Sunday School class, spending hours preparing for the lessons and taking joy in sharing what she had learned with the group.
Linda leaves behind her husband, Butch Briseno; son, Lance Briseno; daughter, Jessi (Travis) Trierweiler and many other family and friends. Her jokes, laughter and her unique personality will be deeply missed. She has left her mark on this world and an imprint on our hearts forever!
