Linda Brindle

January 18, 1944 — April 17, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Linda Brindle, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Linda passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was loved by so many, and it is difficult to put into words the profound loss her family feels.

Linda was born on January 18, 1944, to John and Annabelle Yost in Sandusky, Ohio. She grew up in a busy household with three brothers and four sisters. Her joy in giving and caring for others began at a young age after the passing of her father. Linda’s strength and compassion shone through as she helped care for her younger siblings and supported her family in countless ways—traits she carried with her throughout her life.

In 1964, Linda married the love of her life, Jon Brindle, and they shared a wonderful 45 years together until his passing in 2010. They lived in both Ohio and Michigan and were blessed with five children.

Linda devoted much of her career to caring for children, a role that reflected her nurturing spirit. She was a fantastic cook who always had something delicious baking in the oven—her way of showing love to family, friends, and anyone who happened to stop by. Linda doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often found cuddling them, reading storybooks, or singing nursery rhymes.

Linda was a gracious soul who never found fault and always looked for the good in others, an angel on Earth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jon Brindle, and her daughter, Colleen Packard.

She is survived by her children Ted (Jill) Brindle, Michelle Baarda, Colette (Terry) Hendricks, and Charlene White; grandchildren Joseph White, Anne-Marie Packard, Timothy White, Nicholas Baker, Sydney White, and Connor Baarda; as well as nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Linda will be laid to rest with her husband Jon and daughter Colleen at Blythefield Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank Faith Hospice for their compassionate care. Memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s honor to Faith Hospice.
