Laurie Jackson

Laurie Lynn Jackson (Kosanke) of Portage, Michigan passed away peacefully at Kairos

Dwelling Home February 3, 2024 with family by her side. She was born October 26, 1961 in

Kalamazoo, Michigan to Bill and Lorraine (Olson) Kosanke. Her mother Lorraine Biber

preceded her in death. She is survived by her father Bill (Christine) Kosanke, son Nick

Jackson, daughter Haley Jackson, brother Michael (Treasa) Kosanke and sister Julie

Schnooberger. She is also survived by aunts and uncles, Barbara (Dave) Kerwin, Wanda

Russell, Mary (Ken) Mott, Dennis (Vickie) Kosanke, Tom (Chris) Olson and many more

cousins, nieces and nephews that were an integral part of her life.

Laurie loved children and was a very successful preschool teacher and also provided loving

care of children in home settings. She was versatile and accomplished in many activities from

an early age through adulthood. She was an avid golfer and spent much time golfing at

Ridgeview Golf Course with her dad Bill particularly. Also she played softball, tennis, pool

and water sports of skiing, boating and swimming. Singing was a love and passion she felt

throughout her life. Laurie will be remembered for her smile, generosity and faith
