Obituary

Larry Trent Montgomery was born on July 7, 1957, in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, to Lillie and Jesse Williard Montgomery. He was raised in Muskegon Heights and graduated from Muskegon Heights High School with the Class of 1975.

Throughout his life, Larry held a variety of jobs, ranging from working in the insurance industry to construction, where he was known for his skills, dedication, and strong work ethic.

Larry was a devoted father who cherished his family above all else. If you knew Larry, you knew there was nothing he loved more than his baby girl, Chantel. The bond they shared was one of unconditional love. He was blessed to experience many of life's special moments with her, creating memories through snowmobiling, traveling, breakfast dates, and countless other adventures they shared together.

Larry loved spending time with his loved ones any time of the day or night, and family was truly the center of his world. He had a special gift for making everyone he met feel like family. Whether he was traveling, dancing, singing, or attending the events of those he loved, He also enjoyed playing golf with his brothers. Larry was always there to offer his support, encouragement, and infectious smile.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Chantel Montgomery; his siblings, Andrew Holmes, Jesse (Beverly) Montgomery, Charles (Jimmie) Montgomery, Shela Montgomery Drew, Jackie Montgomery and Laura Clifford; his special niece, Lauren Guity; close friends Chucky Todd, Tommie Walker, and Deloris Brown; the mother of his child, Juanda Demyers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie and Jesse Williard Montgomery; his brother, Joe Clifford, and sister Helen Clifford; his niece, Toni Clifford; his nephew, Christopher Montgomery; and his dear friend, Alfred Wells.

Larry's love, kindness, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to his family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
