We’re heartbroken to share that our mom, Kimberly Ann Hansen, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026 at age 58.

Mom was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI on May 17, 1968. She was a proud ROTC kid at Northeast Jr. High and Central High, and she turned that discipline and heart into a 30+ year career taking care of people in restaurants. If you knew her, you probably met her at Hong Kong Inn, Chico’s, Bono’s Pizza, or Denny’s — where she served for 23 years and made regulars feel like family.

Outside of work, Mom was happiest on camping trips, with her toes in the sand at the beach, or laughing with a beer in her hand. Well, two beers — because it only took two. If you knew her, you probably called her “2 Beer Kimmy” and loved her for it.

She went ahead of us to join her parents, Franklin and Carol Hansen, and other loved ones. She leaves behind her loving partner of 25+ years, Scott Dombak; her children, John and Tina Osmolinski, and Shawn Rank; her grandchildren Isaiah, Amir, Bella, and Amelia Osmolinski; her sisters Melinda Morrison (Dean Klase) and BobbiJo Savastano (Mark Savastano); four immediate nephews and nieces; and several more grandchildren and stepchildren she shared with Scott.

Because Mom loved Halloween, we’re celebrating her life on October 31st from 1-4pm at American Legion Post 459, 1658 Michigan St NE, Grand Rapids. Costumes are encouraged! Please come hungry, bring your best Kimberly stories, and any photos you have of her. Let’s fill the room with the kind of laughter she always brought to the table — and raise one for 2 Beer Kimmy.
