Kimberly Sue Edwards

Kimberly Sue Edwards, known affectionately as Kim, was born on October 7, 1967, at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon, Michigan. She graduated from Orchard View High School, where she cultivated friendships and developed a love for learning.

Kim departed this life on January 11, 2026, at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and grandmother who touched the hearts of many throughout her life.

Kim is survived by her beloved husband, Melvin Edwards; her father, David Rice; and her mother, Judie Rice. She was a proud sister to Randy Rice and Kristen Rice (and John). Kim was dedicated to her family, especially her daughters — Tasha, Jessica (Keith), Heather (Chris), Brandie, Brittnee (Adam) and Morgan (daughters), — as well as her grandchildren: Gabe, Zach, Isabell, Braydon, Summer, Baily, Brantley, Ryleigh, Lexie, and Coree.

In addition to her immediate family, Kim also leaves behind her sister-in-laws, Tammy, Lisa, Missy, and Shelley, along with many nieces and nephews who will remember her warmth and generosity.

Kim was preceded in death by her brother, Chuck Rice, whose memory will be cherished by those who loved him.

The life of Kim Edwards was one that exemplified kindness and resilience. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends, who will carry her spirit in their hearts forever.
